Rigby Lake

Abby and Sophie got invited to Ava's Birthday Party at Rigby Lake. Her theme was "The Little Mermaid". Abby and Sophie had a lot of fun. Thanks for inviting us, Vanessa and Ava. The water was COLD, but Sophie didn't seem to mind. Abby only wanted to get her feet wet. It was Sophie's first experience eating dirt. She must have liked it because she kept putting it in her mouth. We had a lot of fun playing in the water.

Visited Bear Lake on Memorial Weekend

We decided to drive to Bear Lake for Memorial weekend. It was a quick trip. We drove up and back on Saturday. So the kids were ready to get out of the car when we got home. It was nice to see Ben's grandma, Cloree and Uncle James. It was a beautiful drive since we've gotten a lot of rain the past few days. The lake was crystal blue. It was nice spending time with Ben's family and seeing and hearing about family members that had passed on. It also made me reflect on memories of Grandpa and Grandma Porter and Hess and those who died for our country. I'm grateful for all of our families.

Spring flowers

It has been a long winter and a wet spring. Seeing the blooms makes it worth the wait! I love showing Abby the new growth and spring blooms.

Nap time

Cloree made a wonderful lunch/dinner. It felt like Thanksgiving because we were all tired after the feast. I thought Abby looked cute drawing on the chalkboard.

Golfing at Bear Lake

While Ben and John and the grandma's watched the kids, we were able to go golfing. I'm not a golfer but we had a nice time. I actually see why people golf, as long as you have nice scenery. It was fun being with Sid, James, and Mel. It also helps if you have a good partner like Sid. I think I hit the ball straight twice. We only played 9 holes.

Sleepy Head

No, Abby isn't growing a beard, it's ice cream. One evening, I told Abby we would go get some ice cream. On the way home she fell asleep holding her ice cream cone. She was pretty tired because that morning went to the gymnastics gym and then we walked around the mall. I couldn't resist taking a picture.

Climbing up everything!

As soon as Sophie starting crawling, she started to climb up everything. She has bumped her head several times on the wood floor.

Tautphus Park

The weather has finally warmed up, however, I think it's susposed to be rainy on the weekend. While it's warm we've enjoyed taking the kids to the park. Abby has so much fun.
